Product notes
Reading a new product through its first website
Look for the person, the problem, and the first action.

01
Record who the website addresses, what promise it repeats, and what action it asks a first-time visitor to take. Do not infer features from a domain name alone.
02
Compare several related projects. Some emphasise speed, others control, and others a very specific task. Record the actual wording and the date you observed it.
03
Keyword counts in a directory describe that collection, not search demand, market size, or growth. Discovery is the start of research, not its conclusion.
04
Return to actual use. A new address can inspire you; a useful product must still do one important thing well.
